NEMIC Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Roberta Powell, Accepted into MassChallengeRI 2019 Cohort
Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Roberta Powell’s startup Quantitative 2 Qualitative Health (Q2Q) has been accepted into the 2019 MassChallengeRI cohort. The cohort, made up of 25 early-stage startups, was chosen from over 250 applications from 25 states and 39 countries around the world. Q2Q uses a customer facing application to convert health data into simple diagrams to empower its users to make better health decisions.

NEMIC awarded “Real Jobs RI” implementation grant to cultivate the next generation of medical leaders and innovators
PROVIDENCE, RI, April 9, 2019 – The Foundation for New England Medical Innovation Center (NEMIC) was recognized yesterday as a recipient of the “Real Jobs RI” Implementation Grant to cultivate and educate the future leaders of medical technologies and digital health. NEMIC aims to provide leadership training to small businesses, scientists, researchers, and students in local universities through an all-inclusive MedTech training program with the goal to bridge the gap between workforce and economic development in a key Rhode Island economic segment.

Last Wednesday, March 13th, we held the kick-off event to our Women’s Health + Entrepreneurship Speaker Series. The event was huge success and we want to thank each one of the 50+ attendees who were from all corners of Rhode Island, made their way down from Boston, and the few who tuned into our livestream. We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout and this has made all of us at NEMIC excited for the rest of the series! We have a line up of great speakers and are working on curating next months event.
