PROVIDENCE, RI (January 12, 2026) — Due to the record-setting success of its previous 7th year cohort (‘24-’25), and given the ongoing push to solidify Rhode Island as an innovation Center of Excellence in MedTech and the Life Sciences, NEMIC today announced it is opening registration for the next cycle of its marquee accelerator program earlier than ever before.
Registration for NEMIC’s flagship 2026 NEMIC Accelerator Program is open as of Monday, January 12th, 2026. The program–held in partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training–is free for those who live, work, or go to school in the state.
NEMIC Accelerator Program
The 2026 NEMIC Accelerator Program is an intensive six-month business accelerator tailored for entrepreneurs in the Med Device, MedTech, HealthTech and Digital Health space[s].
It is well-established that navigating the journey from startup to commercialization in MedTech is challenging and costly. With the NEMIC Accelerator Program we’ve been able to support 50+ companies over the past six years, all in an effort to accelerate and incubate startups pioneering innovative solutions in today's healthcare landscape. By providing access to a robust network of subject matter experts, key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinical leaders, and investors, NEMIC’s accelerator helps bridge knowledge gaps and gives participants the tools and knowledge for successful commercialization.
Accelerator participants will engage in pivotal activities designed to advance their startups, achieve project milestones, and engage with external stakeholders for validation and data collection. Upon selection for the program, selected participants will refine their business models, test their solutions, and prepare for the next phase of their development journey.
Interested parties are encouraged to apply promptly.
