EMPOWER Lunch + Learn: Fostering Connections Over Falafel

The 2023-24 EMPOWER Accelerator cohort gathered recently for its first Lunch + Learn session.

The event brought together our dynamic group of 12 innovators. We enjoyed delicious falafel wraps and fostered connections among the accelerator awardees at our NEMIC headquarters.

A special shoutout to Olinda Urizar-Mendez from Commerce RI for stopping by and sharing valuable insights during an insightful Q+A session. Her tips on navigating State grant application processes were truly appreciated!

The afternoon unfolded with each company delivering a concise four-minute pitch, giving everyone a glimpse into who they are, their projects, and how NEMIC is propelling them toward success. Following updates from our business director, Maey Petrie, and co-founder, Aidan Petrie, we dedicated the rest of the lunch-in to mingling, networking, and chatting about how the HealthTech ecosystem is growing in RI.
