Taiwanese Biotech Delegation Collaborates with NEMIC, RI Organizations

NEMIC, alongside several other Rhode Island organizations, met with the Taiwanese biotechnology industry delegation to collaborate and innovate.

Following opening remarks from Secretary of Commerce Liz Tanner, groups from both sides shared ideas on advanced technologies in areas like medicines, medical devices, and genetic research, as well as on resources supporting the Life Science industries within the state.

Taiwanese speakers included the Industrial Development Bureau of Taiwan, The Development Center for Biotechnology (DCB), the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office (TECO) Boston, The Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries Promotion Office, and the Taiwan Investment and Trade Office in New York.

This partnership opened up opportunities for working together and sharing knowledge, propelling both regions to the forefront of biotechnology advancements. The meeting sparked a shared vision for the future and will drive essential breakthroughs shaping the industry in the coming years.
