Leading Med Tech Veteran Joins NEMIC; Will Offer 'M&A – Acquisition Exit, Integration Planning & Execution' Curriculum

The NEMIC Foundation is thrilled to announce the addition of a seasoned medical technology mergers and acquisition executive to the organization.

David Morrow, Sage Consulting Solutions Inc. president, is joining NEMIC as a member and advisor.

"NEMIC has become a unique best-in-class innovation hub, and I'm thrilled to bring my 25 years of med-tech experience to the team as we look to expand globally in 2023," Morrow said.

Morrow recently retired from Johnson & Johnson, where he helped lead the company's global Medical Technology M&A team, which was designed to identify, acquire and integrate non-traditional innovative capabilities.

"Not only will Dave share his insights and expertise, but he also is highly networked with physicians, investors, and subject matter experts from around the world and is positioned to connect our program participants with Key Opinion Leaders in the industry," said Maey Petrie, NEMIC Director of Programs and Business Development.

Morrow will hit the ground running and is already planning his first education offering on "M&A – Acquisition Exit, Integration Planning & Execution" for the later phase of the Med Tech Leadership Program.

"This is often a comprehensive multi-functional undertaking with ‘long tails’ and is frequently overlooked but incredibly critical," Morrow said. "Exit and integration can often make or break a successful transition to new ownership and is particularly critical if sales retention, product development, regulatory, contracting or supply chain, etc. are tied to financial exit milestones."

The Exit and Integration class is expected to take place sometime in the spring of 2023.
