RECAP: NEMIC IN BOSTON - Women's Health Summit + MEDevice

This past week, the NEMIC team had the incredible opportunity to participate in two back-to-back events in Boston: the Women’s Health Innovation Summit (WHIS) and MEDevice Boston. These events offered a deep dive into cutting-edge innovations and provided the chance to connect with familiar faces, celebrate achievements, and contribute to important conversations shaping the healthcare industry.

Women’s Health Innovation Summit: A Platform for Change

At WHIS, the energy was palpable as leaders and innovators came together to discuss advancements in women's health—a sector that continues to gain momentum. We had the privilege of attending some truly thought-provoking sessions, covering everything from digital health to advancements in maternal care and women’s wellness.

A standout moment was the Innovation Showcase, where we watched Melissa Bowley of Flourish Care take home the first prize. Flourish’s commitment to addressing gaps in maternal health aligns with our values at NEMIC, and seeing Melissa recognized for her impact was truly inspiring. Congratulations, Melissa!

In addition to new insights, we saw some familiar faces, including Anne Shmults, Michelle Wu, and Margaut Boyaval of Nova. It’s always exciting to reconnect with fellow innovators who share the same passion for driving change in healthcare.

MEDevice Boston: Thought Leadership and Collaboration

Following WHIS, our team joined the MEDevice Boston conference, where our very own Aidan Petrie took center stage, leading one panel discussion and hosting two Shop Talks. Aidan’s expertise in medical device innovation is unmatched, and his insights on the future of MedTech were met with great enthusiasm from attendees.

MEDevice Boston also provided an excellent opportunity to catch up with old friends and collaborators. We bumped into familiar faces from Nativa Orthopaedics, Michael Pereira, and AlvaMed—companies that continue to push the envelope in MedTech innovation.

A Continued Commitment to Innovation

The experiences we had this week reaffirm our commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration in healthcare. Whether it's championing women's health at WHIS or leading discussions on MedTech at MEDevice, NEMIC is proud to be at the forefront of these conversations.

We look forward to continuing our work with the amazing individuals and companies we encountered and are excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead!
