NEMIC Winter Pitch Night 2025 Boasts Record Attendance, Sponsorship, and Engagement
Providence, RI - December 11th, 2025 | The New England Medical Innovation Center (NEMIC) once again lit up Providence with an electrifying showcase of entrepreneurial energy, groundbreaking MedTech solutions, and visionary founders at the 2025 NEMIC Winter Pitch Competition, heralded as one of the most successful in the organization’s history.
Held at CIC Providence on December 11, 2025, the Winter Pitch Competition brought together a diverse lineup of early-stage innovators presenting seven-minute pitches to a panel of investors, industry experts, and healthcare leaders. Attendees were treated to a vibrant atmosphere of discovery, connection, and possibility, a true testament to New England’s growing leadership in health technology and medical innovation.
A Historic Cohort Takes the Stage
What set the 2025 competition apart was the sheer scale and quality of participation. This year marked a record-breaking cohort of 55 participants and NEMIC Fellows drawn from NEMIC’s flagship Med Tech Leadership Program (MTLP) and the NEMIC Accelerator — a 5x increase in enrollment from its first cohort seven years ago.
Entrepreneurs from a wide range of backgrounds — including engineers, clinicians, designers, and seasoned founders — pitched cutting-edge ideas spanning medical devices, digital health platforms, diagnostics, and wellbeing solutions. The sea of talent underscored how far NEMIC’s community has grown: from a local accelerator to a regional hub of healthcare innovation and commercialization excellence.
Innovation in Action: Startups on the Rise
The energy in the room was electric as startups delivered compelling pitches that demonstrated clear market potential and real-world impact. The event format mixed rapid pitches with interactive showcase tables staffed by participating companies, giving guests deep insight into the innovations shaping the future of healthcare. And for the first time ever, NEMIC provided 1:1 investor chats between startups and regional investors which offered a huge value-add for attendees, and enriched the impact of the event.
From novel therapeutic devices to software platforms addressing clinical workflows and patient engagement, the breadth of solutions reflected the dynamism of New England’s MedTech ecosystem. Investors and attendees alike were impressed not just by ideas, but by founders’ business acumen and readiness to scale.

The 2025 Pitch Competition offered record prizes from NEMIC, thanks to the generous support of 3 Gold Event Sponsors (ALCOR Scientific, Troutman Pepper & Locke, and AlvaMed). Winners were awarded $3,000 USD in cash prizes in 3 categories: Most Impact to Health, Most Investible, and Most Polished Pitch; plus, an additional $1,000 USD cash prize was awarded to the People's Choice pitch, rounding out the total cash prize purse at $10,000 USD! The Pitch Competition is more than a platform for prizes — it’s a community builder that strengthens connections between founders, mentors, clinical experts, and capital partners. Participants walked away with valuable feedback from industry judges, meaningful new relationships, and momentum heading into 2026. Attendees also had the opportunity to meet representatives from 22+ regional companies tabling at the event — elevating a simple pitch night into full-spectrum experience of networking and collaboration.
