NEMIC approved as TABA Consulting Vendor

The Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) program is part of a comprehensive NIH program intended to help small businesses identify and address their most pressing product development needs. For select NIH Phase II small businesses, TABA provides eligible awardees with consulting services worth up to $50,000 from an approved pool of independent vendors.

As of late this summer, NEMIC has been approved as a TABA Consulting Vendor, uniquely positioning us within the program to provide assistance in the medical device and health tech space. As it is well known, NEMIC has a sole focus on helping bring impactful healthcare solutions to market, working closely with entrepreneurs to build the best solutions and businesses that are compelling to the investment community and will improve patient outcomes. This latest approval serves as yet another example of how NEMIC aims to fulfill this mission.

TABA programs assist small businesses via funds that can be used to provide intellectual property protections, market research and/or validation, develop regulatory strategies, and more; all being vital to the successful commercialization of technologies and work that is at the core of NEMIC's competencies.

Small Businesses may request up to $6,500 per year for Phase I, and up to $50,000 across all years per Phase II project via a Fast-Track application. Fast-Track applications are a combination of both Phase I and Phase II and small businesses can request TABA Funding in both phases within their Fast-Track application, up to these amounts for each phase. For more information on how to apply, visit the NIH Grants & Funding web page, which provides a comprehensive application guide.
