NEMIC Announces Expert Advisory Group Comprised of Seasoned Industry Professionals
We are excited to announce the launch of NEMIC’s Expert Advisory Group, bringing together a multidisciplinary cohort of more than 30 industry leaders, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, and investors to advance health innovation in Southern New England and beyond. Our Expert Advisory Group spans a breadth of sectors from Startup Operations, Reimbursement, and Regulatory Strategy, to Market Validation, IP & Defensibility, and Community Health.
At NEMIC, our mission is to support innovators, strengthen Rhode Island’s health tech ecosystem, and drive meaningful impact. Since 2019, we have supported over 460 innovators, launched accelerator and leadership programs, facilitated startups in serving over 112,000 patients, and helped fellows raise more than $114 million USD. Our startups have also created over 300 jobs in Rhode Island, contributing to the region’s growing life sciences sector.
The Expert Advisory Group enhances our commitment to collaboration and expertise. Members provide guidance, build connections, and share insights that empower startups and strengthen the ecosystem. Already, our advisors have donated thousands of hours to support local startups, and the launch of this latest cohort promises to provide even more fuel to our burgeoning health technology ecosystem in the region.
The Role of Our Expert Advisors
Members of the NEMIC Expert Advisory Group will:
Provide volunteer advisory support to NEMIC-affiliated startups and innovators.
Advocate for NEMIC’s initiatives and help expand our network.
Support and enhance our programs through workshops and lectures.
Help refine and develop programs to better serve the ecosystem’s needs.

As we scale our programs and expand regionally and globally, the Expert Advisory Group will play a key role in driving our vision forward. We look forward to working with this group to advance innovation and create new opportunities in healthcare.
