Speakers Announced! Women's Health + Entrepreneurship Kick-off Event
Join us March 13th for our premier Women’s Health + Entrepreneurship Event. This brand-new speaker series creates a space for conversing, storytelling, and celebrating women’s health initiatives in Southern New England. This kick-off event will showcase two local speakers both with incredible personal stories that have led them to create brands and products specifically to empower women. Kristen Carbone
Founder, Brilliantly
Kristen Carbone is the founder of Brilliantly, a brand that provides the support women need on their journey toward feeling vital and strong in their mind and body after mastectomy. Motivated by her own personal experience, she is committed to providing solutions that help women deal with long term physical and emotional needs so they can prosper. Brilliantly’s core offering, a warming bra insert, is launching in September 2019.
Ayan Bhandari
Co-Founder & CEO, Nuway
Ayan Bhandari is the Co-Founder and CEO of Nuway. He has used a specialty approach of "designing for women in context” to create a solution to an ever-present problem for women in Uganda who are forced to sit side saddle on motorcycle taxis. This riding style has led to thousands of deaths and crush injuries to the female population and is crippling hospitals and negatively effecting the economy. Ayan and his team worked closely with Ugandan women who use these taxis every day to develop their concept direction and solution to this problem.
