NEMIC Fellow Takes 1st in RI Business Competition

The NEMIC team would like to celebrate Greg Calderiso–CEO + Founder of Just Breathe–for his first-place finish in the 2024 RI Business Competition! 

Just Breathe is a device centered around breathwork– a practice clinically proven to reduce anxiety, decrease stress, and bring our nervous system back to a ‘rest and digest’ state. While breathwork can be quite difficult to master, Just Breathe is a device designed to make it as easy as breathing itself. 

Greg created Just Breathe in 2020 when he found himself in a permanent state of anxiety. At the time, he was struggling to find an activity or device to help him positively cope with the changes COVID-19 brought to his career and his life at home.

Greg's journey to success is a testament to his dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. For years, he has been tirelessly working on his innovation, pouring in countless hours during NEMIC’s 2023-24 DLT Accelerator Program. Greg is eager to learn, driven to succeed, and, most importantly, he has a true passion for creating a life-changing innovation for Just Breathe users. His first-place win is most certainly deserved! 

We would also like to celebrate this year’s RI Business Competition runner-up Peg Fradette with her innovation, MittyPak, and semi-finalists Katelyn Holt with KT CATH and Peter Ricci with Trace Sensing Technologies.
